Neighbourhood

The Junction

Independent, eclectic and unmistakably local, The Junction is a neighbourhood with a character all its own. Discover some of the city's best-loved restaurants, cafés, shops, breweries and local businesses, all surrounded by the energy of a close-knit community. At The Pacific, you're not just near The Junction, you're right in the heart of it.

It used to be its own city. A village in 1884, the Town of West Toronto Junction in 1889, the City of West Toronto in 1908, and part of Toronto only from 1909.

It was Toronto's last dry neighbourhood. Residents voted to ban the sale of alcohol in 1904. The ban held until 1997. The bars and breweries have been making up for lost time ever since.

In the press

Don't take it from us.

The Junction has spent a decade being written about, for its galleries, its restaurants, its street life.
